Bad Blogger! Bad Girl!

I know, I know.
I have been neglectful, and boring.  I didn't mean to.
I thought I'd have more time.
Did you know that from the time I put my kindergartner on the bus, to the  time he gets home, it's like ten minutes?
I can't get more than 2 things done.
I promise to be more attentive.
I really, really mean to.

Questions

Mom, am I going to Kindergarten in the fall?

Mom, did (insert name here) go to Kindergarten last year?

Mom, will I go to the Elementary school?

Mom,

Mom,

Mom??????????????

Imagine these questions being asked constantly, over and over and over and over.

If you show signs of weariness at this, he gets mad.

Poor guy.

Poor Mom.

Drink of the Week

This week's drink is Jello Shots!

I actually have a whole book on them, but here's the basic recipe!

 

Ingredients:

• 2 cups Vodka
• 3 packages Jello with sugar
• 3 cups Water

Mixing instructions:

Boil 3 cups of water then add jello. Mix jello and water until jello is completely disolved. Add the two cups of vodka and mix together. Pour mixture into plastic shot glasses and chill until firm.

I'm not dead, just dumb!

My kids have made me dumb.
Totally, mind-numbingly dumb.
We went to Florida for a few weeks, and now that we're home, they are driving me completely insane!
I was so stupid to think that a family vacation would refresh me.

It was fun, we had a great time, but not restful or relaxing at all!
So for anyone that reads my blog, I will be updating regularly again.
Just don't expect anything of substance mentally.

The drink for this week is
whatever is in your flask, or whatever is closest to you.  When traveling with family/children, it is always good to have some medicinal alcohol nearby.

Another Crazy Weekend

We're gearing up for another long weekend.  Headed up to camp.  I would rather not go, but the kiddos love it.  Bill is losing his mind, cleaning out the car.  The kids haven't stopped bugging us about when we're leaving.  I just want to get away from everyone, but who knows if that will ever happen...

How Busy Can Somebody Be?

Man, Oh Man!
We had a loooooooooooooooong weekend!
Jared had a soccer game Saturday morning.  The weather held for that game, then he had a hot dog while watching Daddy do this:

Then Mommy wanted a hot dog, and we sat under the pavilion to eat, and the sky opened up.
And it poured. And poured. And poured harder.
So then we go home.
Nope, not home.  We had to go put drinks in the church fridge for the Girl Scout picnic that evening.
Good luck with that.  The rain is supposed to continue.
So then I had to go buy a couple of other things,
THEN we went home.
For a couple of hours.
Then Dad came home.  Chloe was off with the youth group doing community service.
The hot dogs weren't enough.
We went to McDonald's.  Got a Shrek Happy Meal.
Wicked Awesome!
Onto church for picnic (mostly indoors.)
Made it home around 10.

SUNDAY was the last day of Sunday School, and the SS program in church.
We practice during SS, and practice goes over an hour!!!!!!!!!!!
Church starts, kids are behaving,
program time... Jared does AWESOMELY!!!
No sermon, so church only goes a little late.
But after church is a - PICNIC!!!
Yep!  Another one.
And the main dish is - Hot Dogs!
Then the youth group plays its concert.
They do an amazing job!
Then there are fun games in the sun, and my 5 year old was team captain in Ultimate Frisbee!
We got home around 5, and we all CRASHED!
